Conto Termico 3.0: a tangible lever for energy efficiency
Energy efficiency in public building stock is now a strategic priority for local authorities and institutions. In this context, the Conto Termico 3.0, national incentive managed by Energy Services Manager (GSE) and promoted by Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security (MASE), which supports energy efficiency and thermal energy production from renewable sources.
For public administrations, it represents a particularly effective tool for refurbish existing buildings without burdening municipal budgets.
INCENTIVES UP TO 100% FOR PUBLIC BODIES
One of the most significant aspects of the Thermal Account is the possibility for public bodies to obtain incentives that can reach up to 100% of eligible expenses, in particular for interventions on:
- schools and educational institutions;
- municipal sports facilities;
- healthcare facilities;
- public buildings intended for collective services.
The incentive percentages vary depending on several parameters, including:
- Size of the Municipality;
- intended use of the property;
- Social relevance of the intervention.
This allows administrations to take action on often outdated and energy-intensive buildings, improving them energy performance, safety and quality of environments, with an extremely contained economic impact.
FUNDABLE INTERVENTIONS
The Thermal Account funds numerous energy efficiency interventions, including:
Thermal insulation of opaque surfaces;
Replacement of windows and doors;
Installation of heat pumps;
Installation of condensing boilers or hybrid systems.;

➣Building automation systems for intelligent plant control;
Integrated building-system refurbishments.
These interventions make it possible to achieve a significant reduction in energy consumption and emissions, with direct benefits for administrations and the community.
